CULOTTES ARE IN—grrrrrrrr, baby!

9th April 1980
Practical and classical – that’s the new autumn look from designers in Milan. The weird and wonderful outfits that have contributed to the recent slump in the rag trade have been consigned to the cutting room floor, to be replaced by clothes that are simple and attractive. Colours are cream, brown and black: hemlines are on the knee for all styles barring a few minis and trousers are three-quarter length. Short jackets replace blousons and berets are back.
