Surgeon Paul Vickers and former beauty queen Pamela Collison were both charged with the murder of Vickers’ wife Margaret, at Gateshead police station on Tuesday 7th October. Both will appear at Newcastle-upon-Tyne magistrates court. Margaret Vickers died in hospital in Newcastle fifteen months ago aged 44. The death was certified as due to natural causes. Mr. Vickers is consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead. Miss Collison, whom he met six years ago, is a political researcher.
