JUST IN TIME FOR A NEW TV SHOW PROMOTION—a chance to deadline-pimp my sickly triplets off to drunken Fleet Street hacks: TV-mum

17th February 1988
They’re a picture of health and happiness. But time was on the side of TV Angel Erin Geraghty’s triplets when they were born, weighing only 2lb apiece, five years ago. "They might have died if they’d been born now," says Erin who played a nurse in the old twice-weekly Angels series. "The girls were very premature and terribly ill. The hospital where they were born are now turning babies away because they don’t have the staff and facilities to look after them." Erin hugged her triplets, Fionuala, Andrea and Ciara, as she spoke. Erin will be returning to television soon in the ITV Sunday programme Small World.
